Freep.com is reporting Detroit firefighters were injured when their trucked flipped while responding to a house fire. One firefighter needed stitches in his head and another has a broken arm. Two other firefighters were only slightly injured.

NC Forest Service is mourning Fellow brother Curtis Jessen after he died this past Thursday after falling 50 feet while fighting a fire in Polk County.

The North Carolina Forest Service has requested that flags be lowered in honor of Jessen. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
