FDNY firefighters went to work on an "All Hands" fire on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NY. Firefighters arrived just after 12:00am on 327 East 93rd Street to a third floor apartment fire. Searches discovered two victims, on was in a wheel chair. Fire investegators habd not released a cause of the fire, but suspect smoking in a bed may have been a factor.

FDNY firefighters went to work on a 5 Alarm fire in the Tremont Section of The Bronx. The fire took place on 548 East 180th Streey between 3rd Avenue and Monterey Avenue. Early reports called for additional units and confirmed fire in the corner of a one story taxpayer type building. Operations shifted to an exterior attack as a result of a fire through the roof and a partial collapse. Seven firefighters were transported with minor injuries. WSBT...When firefighters arrived they tried battling the flames on the inside. But it was too much to handle.
“So the firefighters deemed it to be unsafe,” said Chief Howard Buchanon. “So everybody got out and then we went into defensive mode.”
Shortly after firefighters got out the roof caved in and the walls collapsed, injuring firefighters Jared Perish and Kevin Kurtz. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
